Family Name Orchidaceae
Description Subspecies Purpurella. Local name: Curl Dodie. Native. Grows on marshes and damp pastures, though occasionally appearing on dry roadside verges. Flowers of this orchid are a rich purple shade not found in other Shetland orchids. Flowers late May - Early June.
